Anime-style games and gacha games explained

Latest

Editorial Policy

Our Goal

Loot Cache News publishes evergreen guides and explainers about anime-style games, gacha games and licensed anime games on PC and console. Our goal is accuracy and clarity. This page explains how we choose topics, how we check facts and what we do when we get something wrong.

How We Choose Topics

We focus on questions players genuinely ask and that stay useful beyond a single update: how a pity system works, what a stat or reaction does, how endgame modes reset, which licensed game covers which story arc. We avoid leaks, rumours, tier lists that expire with the next patch and content that depends on this week’s banner.

Responsible Gacha Coverage

  • We explain monetisation systems neutrally and never encourage readers to spend money.
  • We treat free-to-play as a complete way to play and say so where relevant.
  • When we discuss drop rates or pity, we use the publisher’s disclosed figures and add budgeting and odds-awareness context.
  • We note age ratings and in-game purchase labels where relevant.
  • We do not publish gambling content, and we do not promote account selling, unofficial top-up sites, cheats or exploits.

Research and Fact-Checking

  • Release dates, platforms and developers are checked against official announcements, store pages and reputable reference sources.
  • Rates, pity values and mechanics are checked against in-game details pages, official websites and patch notes, with well-maintained community wikis as secondary sources.
  • Age ratings are checked in the ESRB and PEGI databases.
  • Live-service games change often, so we state the version or date a detail refers to, for example “as of 2026”.
  • If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out. We do not invent quotes, statistics or personal play experiences.

Sources

Each article ends with a list of the main sources we used, linked so readers can check them. We prefer primary sources such as official game sites, publisher announcements and rating boards.

Use of AI Tools

AI tools assist our team with research organisation and drafting. Every article is then fact-checked against sources and edited by a person before publication. Responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team, not with any software.

Authorship

Articles are published under the pen name Mika Hollis, which represents our small independent editorial team. We do not attribute credentials or experience to the pen name that we do not have.

Corrections and Updates

If you find an error, please email [email protected] with the article link and, ideally, a source. We review every report. Factual errors are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the update. We also review evergreen articles periodically when version updates change a system.

Sponsored Content and Links

Loot Cache News is independent and not affiliated with any developer or publisher. If we publish sponsored content, it will always be clearly labelled “Sponsored”, and any paid links will carry the rel=”sponsored” attribute. Sponsors have no influence over our regular editorial content, and we will not accept sponsorships that promote in-game spending, top-up services or account sales.
